James Gray Florence James Melvin Gray, 52, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. James was born April 23, 1967 to James and Freddie Gray. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Employed as a plumber, James was a hard worker and an outdoorsman. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends and would help anybody that was in need. Those preceding him in death include his father James Gray, paternal Grandparents, Howard and Ruby Gray and an infant son. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Theresa Gray of Florence; mother, Freddie Gray of Tillatoba; daughters, Stephanie Hill of Richland, Allison (Andy Whatley) Hill of Brandon; sister, Rachel (Jason) Doubleday of Tillatoba, MS; nephews, James and Jordan Doubleday of Tillatoba and 4 grandchildren, Ethan Uzzle, Natalie Uzzle, Sophia Whatley and Zoey Whatley.
