Obituary James E. Harris, 85, of Bloomsburg died February 19, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by family. He was born March 2, 1934 at Berwick Hospital, a son of the late Walter J. and Gladys (Reece) Harris. He graduated from Bloomsburg High School class of 1952, received a BS degree from Bloomsburg State Teachers College, and a MS degree from Temple University. He taught school and later became principal of Beaver Main and W.W. Evans. Jim served in the US Army in Germany for two years. He was a lifelong member of Hidlay Lutheran Church where he played the organ for 60 years, while playing at Christ Lutheran Church in Buckhorn for 45 years. Jim was auditor for North Centre Township, worked at Bloomsburg Fair Gate 5 for 58 years. He was also a member of Oriental Lodge #460 Orangeville, and Caldwell Consistory Bloomsburg. Jim is survived by his wife the former Doris Moore, daughter Melissa Brown and husband James, grandson Michael of Willow Grove. He is also survived by a sister Ann Brandt and husband James of Mifflinville, brothers; Alan and wife Marla of Bloomsburg, Frank and wife Karen of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
