Scott, affectionately known as “Eddie” was born on March 12, 1951 and passed away February 12, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. After 6 years in the Army he was honorary discharged. He was employed by Star Building Service for many years before retiring from United Refrigeration in 2016. Eddie enjoyed music, BBQ’s and having fun with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Daphne Jane Scott of 27 years, his mother, Bernice Johnson; two siblings, Teresa Johnson and Robin Black. Two children, Anthony Scott and Teresa Scott and one stepson, Corey B. Carter, and 11 grandchildren. The family regrets that they cannot individually name everyone of the host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. If they were all named we would be here a long time, but he loved you all. He was preceded in death by his siblings Rosie Johnson and Donald Johnson, Jr. and one brother-in-law, Virgil H. Carter. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday February 24, 2020 at Mother UAME Church, 701 E. 5th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. Viewing, 9-10:45 am, Service, 11 am.
