Jacqueline’s Obituary Jacqueline Carol (Braden) Jelinek, 75, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020 at her home in Alliance, Nebraska. She was born September 30, 1944 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Alliance to Donald and Margret (Mahon) Braden. She grew up in the Sandhills enjoying ranch life, her many animals and horseback riding. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1963. She married Kenneth Jelinek in June of 1963 and they had 2 children, James and Jandell. Jacqueline moved to Kansas and managed a large supper club in the 70’s and 80’s. She then changed career paths in the 90’s and became a House Director for Sororities in California, Arizona and Colorado until she returned to Alliance in 2004. She came back to her home town to be close to family and her grandkids. Jacqueline is survived by her children, Jim (Laurie) Jelinek of Alliance and Jan (Paul) Jelinek-Warner of Greeley, Colorado. Her grandkids, Zach (Megan) Jelinek of Alliance, Chelsey (Chris) Long of Alliance, Emilie Warner of Greeley, Colorado and Great-Granddaughter Scarlett Long of Alliance. Jacqueline also made and kept many dear friends along the way. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Gideon Achi officiating. Because of her Love for Animals, the family requests memorials be given to PAWS (Providing Animals with Shelter) in Alliance. Read More
