Obituary Isaac William “Ike” Binkerd, age 88, of Wabash, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wabash. Mr. Binkerd was born in Wabash, Indiana on October 28, 1931 to Raymond Ross Binkerd and Bessie Edna (Hullinger) Binkerd. He honorably served his country in the United States Army 1952-1954 during the Korean War. He married Gloria Ann Hoffman on June 3, 1956 in Wabash and she survives him. Ike was an auto mechanic and owned and operated Ike’s 76 Service Station in Wabash for many years. Survivors include: Wife, Gloria Binkerd of Wabash. Son, Keith and Theresa Binkerd of Logansport. Son, Kevin and Lori Binkerd of Andrews. Son, Kurt Binkerd of Muncie. Son, Kraig and Sharon Binkerd of Anderson. 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Richard Binkerd, Ruth Ellen Lynn, and Frances Martin. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Christ United Methodist Church, 477 North Wabash Street in Wabash with Rev. Chris Tiedeman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial with military honors will take place at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or to the Lion’s Club of Wabash. Arrangements entrusted to Northern Indiana Funeral Care.
