Hattie’s Obituary Hattie Mae Patterson-Sherrill, 83, was born March 4, 1936 in Columbus, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late David and Carrie Mae Hinson. She was the second of five sisters. She was predeceased by her sister’s Daisy Kates of Newark, NJ; and Lillian Self of Hartford, CT, a granddaughter Latywania (Nell) Mundle of Hartford, CT; and, her best friend and Sister-in-Christ Joyce Vaughn of Springfield, MA. Hattie moved from Columbus GA and settled down in the New England in the late 1950’s. Hattie accepted Christ in her life where she was an active visitor of New Vision Deliverance Ministries of Charlotte, NC. Hattie was a woman of many talents, she was known to dance the night away, she had that green thumb that could bring any plant back to life and she was the best cook you will ever know Hattie was a housewife until She entered a career at Wells Fargo Financial Institution. She was a strong determined woman who vowed to protect! Hattie leaves behind her loving husband and soulmate of 12 years, Briscoe Sherrill, of Hartford, CT to cherish her memory. They were married in Charlotte, NC in 2008. Hattie’s legacy will be remembered by two sisters, Dorothy Ann Hunt of Charlotte, NC, and Carrie Mae Burns of Springfield, MA; also eight children and three stepchildren, Samuel (Kenny) Patterson and spouse; Cindy Guyton, Charlotte Vega, Patricia Rosemond and spouse all of Springfield, MA; Laverne Patterson and spouse; Tracy Mackey and spouse; and Pamelia Hayes all of Charlotte, NC; and Herbert John Patterson of Wailuku, Hawaii; and three stepsons Herbert (Courtney) Self of Bloomfield, CT; Earl Mundle and spouse of Hartford, CT; and Edward Berry Jr. and spouse of Bridgeport, Ct. Hattie also leaves a legacy of 30 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren,and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Hattie was in the care of her daughter Charlotte Vega from Springfield, Ma until the final last days of her life.
