Obituary Harry W. Searles, age 78, of Princeton, WI, and Clermont, IA, passed away at his son’s home on January 27, 2020. He was born on January 30, 1941, in Detroit, MI, the son of Harry R. and Elizabeth (Aitken) Searles. He attended local Kenosha schools, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School as well as Gateway Technical College. On June 19, 1962, he married Ellen Marie Paul in Kenosha, WI. Harry was a drop forge operator for American Motors Corporation and Chrysler in Kenosha for 30 years. After retiring and moving to Clermont, Iowa in 1997, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and traveling. Harry cherished spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his son, William “Ben” (Sarah) Searles of Princeton; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Searles; Jacob, Joshua and Heather Searles; 2 great grandchildren, Phillip and Aiden; daughter-in-law, Karen (Dan) Roth of Rockford, IL; special friends, Roger and Nancy Craig of Clermont, Iowa; his wife’s brothers and sisters, who were by all observations, his family, and friends. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry R. and Elizabeth Searles; wife, Ellen Searles; his son, Phillip Searles. A celebration of Harry’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
