Guido J. Ofeno, age 92, of St. Clair, passed away February 18, 2020. He was born January 10, 1928 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Nicola and Virginia Ofeno. Guido married Margueritte Sanger November 15, 1952. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2002. Guido served with the U.S. Army during World War II. His working career started at the East China School District as building maintenance and driving bus. He continued on at the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. in building maintenance and later worked for and retired from the Detroit Edison as a boiler mechanic. Following retirement his love of people led him to his favorite job, working for Sam’s Club, Port Huron for 15 years as a greeter. During his retirement Guido also had a passion for woodworking and gardening. He is survived by his sons, Vince Ofeno and Chris (Rene) Ofeno; grandchildren, Cole (Raef) Payne, Samantha (Alex) Paggioli, Katie (Joey) Ventimiglia, Quinn (Samantha) Ofeno and Teri Ofeno; great grandchildren, Mason, Maddie, Mackenzie, Caroline and Harper and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Josephine, Antoinette, Rocco and Elena. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
