Obituary George Stanley Ellison, age 61 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his residence. He retired after 23 years as a gauge lab supervisor for Tecumseh Products. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. George was born March 10, 1958, in Humboldt, TN, to the late George Albert Ellison and the late Alice Faye Harston Ellison. He was married December 20, 1986, to Carol Tucker Ellison, who survives, of Puryear, TN. Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Emily (Quincy) Rhoads of Clarksville, TN; two sons, Josh (Deborah) Crossno of Collierville, TN, and Clint Crossno of Spring Hill, TN; one sister, Heidi (Patrick) Bullock of Jackson, TN; one brother, Brian Ellison of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Ben Crossno, Eleanor Crossno, Judah Rhoads, and Hadley Rhoads; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray & Helen Tucker of Paris, TN; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John Albert Ellison. Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at East Wood Church of Christ, 800 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm at East Wood Church of Christ, with Rex Buford officiating.
