George Scott was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, February 8, 1927 to Walter and Merle Arthur Scott. He passed away February 28, 2020 at the age of 93 after a short illness. He was married to Virginia Phillips Scott for 47 years. George was a livestock buyer and long-time farmer. He enjoyed his horses, cattle, and livestock dogs. He was a faithful long-time member of the Word of Life Church in Bloomfield. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Dr. Jose) Rodriguez, of Grand Junction, Colorado; two sons, Walter (Joan) Scott, Robert Scott, both of Drakesville, Iowa; sister, Evelyn (Reverend Paul) Sandegren; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, Virginia; two brothers, Glen, and Reverend Gerald Scott; and three sisters, Elsie Rich, Eleanor Hagen, and Ellen Kirker. His body has been cremated and per his wishes, his ashes will be scattered on a warm spring day across the land he so loved.
