Gary’s Obituary Gary Sylvia, age 66, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Carvalho Grove Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Fall River, son of the late John and Merle (Mosher) Sylvia. Gary was a fisherman. He loved to play the guitar and listen to music. He loved his dogs Peppy and Mr. Pickles. Gary is survived by his two daughters, Andrea Alvarnas of Minnesota and Michelle Foley of South Weymouth, brother of Lawrence Sylvia of Fall River, John Sylvia of Fall River, Beverley Wilber of Little Compton and Leslie Chretien of Fall River, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He also was the father to the late Leanne Alvarnas and the brother of the late Bradford Sylvia, Victor Sylvia, Michael Lynwood, Audrey Peckham, Patricia Reis, Judy Carvalho and Jane Cottrell.
