Gary L. Cole Sr., 79, passed away on February 13, 2020 in Riverview, Florida. Gary was born on July 17, 1940 in Buffalo, New York and moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1969. He subsequently moved to Lakeland before residing in Riverview. In 1973, Gary purchased his first pest control company, Trapp Lawn Spraying and continued his involvement in the pest control industry where he devoted over 50 years of his life to the advancement of the industry. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anita Cole; and loving brothers Ronald Cole and Gordon Cole. He is survived by his wife, Paula Cole; brother Jerry Cole; sister Linda and Dick Ball; his sons, Gary and Robin Cole, Dale Cole; daughter, Dawn and Bill Piercy; step daughter, Lisa and Mike Palermo; his grandchildren: Alexa Cole, Madeline Cole, Cody Cole, Morgan Cole, Weston Cole, Mitchell Piercy, Michael Palermo, Alyssa Palermo and Eliana Palermo, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview on February 29th, 2020 at 2:00PM with the family receiving friends for a gathering form 1:00-2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
