Gary’s Obituary Funeral services for Gary Charles Lane, 61, of Bonham, will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Cory White will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, Texas. Gary passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 10, 2020 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Gary was born Dec. 15, 1958 in Lubbock, Texas, the son of the late David Henry Lane and Billie Catherine Gary Lane. He was a 1977 graduate of Bonham High School and attended Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma. Gary married Janett May on September 3, 1981 in Bonham. He worked for Standard Auto Parts in Bonham many years and was the Parks & Recreation Manager at Lake Bonham for a number of years. Gary loved hunting and fishing and also enjoyed golfing. He was a past president of the Bonham Golf Club and a member of Northside Church of Christ. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Bradford “Buddy” May. Gary is survived by his wife, Janett Lane of Bonham, TX; son, Chris Lane (Carissa) of St. Ignace, Michigan; daughter, Brittany Lane Whipple (Tony) of Bonham, TX; sister, Lizabeth “Liz” White (Cory) of Rowlett, TX; grandchildren, Cody, Colt and Cade Lane and Adleigh Whipple; nephews and nieces, Lane, Dillon and Ethan White, Michael Crumby, Mitzi Morse, and Erica Slavens; a number of great nephews; mother-in-law, Nadine Wix of Bonham, TX and sister-in-law, Cindy Mahoney (Mike) of Ivanhoe, TX; extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Hal Gray, John Stinson, Mike Bizzell, Mark Hilliard, Robert Chaney and Ronnie Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Malone, Larry Shockley, Ted Wilson, Lane White, Dillon White and Ethan White. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
