Frank’s Obituary Mr. Frank Lewis Jones, age 73, a native and resident of the Walker Springs Community of Jackson, AL was born June 5, 1946 to the parentage of the late Mr. Johnnie Lewis Jones and the late Mrs. Lucille Scott Jones. He departed this life February 5, 2020 at his home. He was a faithful member of Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Walker Springs where he attended Sunday School and church services faithfully until his health prevented him from doing so. Earlier in life, he resided in Chicago, IL and was employed with Buttermaid Bakery. “F.L.”, as he was lovingly called, loved all types of music. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and watching television. Although many other fond memories will be remembered, perhaps the one more so will be that wherever Frank visited, he’d ambush the remote control and flip through channels until he found what he wanted to watch. Frank feared God, loved God, was kindhearted, loving, sweet, and was blessed with an undeniable anointing which kindred hearts recognized and loved. He will be cherished in the hearts of his son, Ferrick (Mearylinn) Jones; daughter, Fatrice Jones, both of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Daniel (Ida) Jones of Walker Springs; John (Alice) Jones of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Luereather Brown and Leacie Jones, both of Walker Springs; Lucinda (Charles) Clarke, Lillie Scott, and Bernice Scott, all of Chicago, IL; three aunts, Mary F. (James) Williams and Lula M. Jones, both of Mobile, AL; and Lillie McCarriel of Buffalo, NY; five grandchildren, Teketa Jones, Karen Jones, Kadijah Jones, Symone Jones, Destini Jones; one great-grandchild, Gerrick Ashford, Jr.; sister-in-law, Barbara Ervin of Leroy, AL; God brother, Fred (Dora) Bryant) of Saint Stephens, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; devoted friends include Pamela Scott, Drusilla Bryant, Theodore Pritchett, Keshia Bush, Pat Bracy, Johnnie Berry, Jr., Sandra Pritchett, Dekendrick Brown, Pastor Taylor, Kids & Parents of TBAA Daycare, and H.O.O.P., Roy James, Jr. Viewing Saturday, February 15, 2020, 11am until the 12 noon service at Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 8963 Walker Springs Rd., Jackson, AL, Rev. Mulvoy Taylor, pastor and eulogist. Following burial in Hotel Hill Cemetery in Walker Springs, the family will receive friends in the dining hall of the church. Services with sympathetic care and legendary professionalism entrusted to Andrews Funeral Home, 800 Depot Road, Jackson, AL.
