Frances Nell “Sissy” Swaim Stilwell, 84, of Randleman, died Friday, January 31, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Charles A. Lindquist, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Randleman. Frances was born on September 9, 1935, in Randolph Co., to the late Joe Prevost Swaim and Ruth Agnes Caudle Swaim. She was a tax appraiser and retired as a magistrate after over 20 years. She was a very active member in the Randolph Co. Republican party. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe “Junebug” Swaim Jr., Duane Swaim, Vernie Swaim; and granddaughter, Jan Stilwell. She is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” Stilwell, Jr., and wife Judy of Asheboro; daughters, Catha Wright and husband Roger Loflin of Sophia, NC, Lisa Stilwell Heckendorn and husband Royce of California; sister, Carolyn Swaim and husband Terry of Climax, NC; brother, Wallace Swaim and wife Bonnie of Sophia, NC; granddaughter, JoDean Stilwell; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020, and other times at the home.
