Statesboro, GA Evangelist Elise Davis Roberts, age 76, passed into rest, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Memorial Health University Hospital. She was born in Sylvania, Georgia to the late Roosevelt and Luella Jones Davis. Evangelist Roberts was a devout servant of God and was an ordained minister of the Gospel. She was dedicated to ministering and spreading the gospel with her late husband Prophet Eddie Ernest Roberts, Sr. Together they established the House of Prayer. She leaves her legacy of love to be cherished: her children, Lorraine (Artis) Roberts-Williams, Ernestine (Bernard) Roberts-Knight, Christine (Leroy) Roberts-Nettles, Mary (Breo) Roberts-Mincey, Eddie Roberts, Jr., Willie Roberts, Arron Roberts, Ft. Pierce, FL, Ellis Roberts, Statesboro, GA and Joshua Roberts, Ft. Pierce, FL, sisters, Betty Anderson, Statesboro, GA, Lynwood Roosevelt Davis, Ft. Pierce, FL, Loudella Jenkins, Vero Beach, FL and Ella Mae Davis, Statesboro, GA, a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Home Going Services for Evangelist Elise Davis Roberts will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. with Apostle Rosemary Woods, officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
