Erin’s Obituary Erin Paige Russell passed away at home on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 45. She passed peacefully in her sleep. Born in Beaumont, Texas on May 4, 1974 to Joe and Judith Russell, her family moved to Humble, Texas and then to Shreveport, Louisiana for 5 years before settling down in Denton, Texas when Erin was 13. She attended Denton High School and went on to get her GED. She was working towards a college degree, taking online courses at Brookhaven College. Erin enjoyed life and spending time with her friends and family. She loved music and always supported her older brother, Kevin, in his music career – attending his shows and also doing digital marketing work for him. She loved animals and was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. In recent years, she attended church and took a great interest in religion and her faith. She was always very creative and artistic and loved to write stories. Her friends affectionately called her “Phoenix”. Erin is survived by her 4 children Nicholas, Dixie, William, and Cash; her parents Joe and Judith; siblings Chris (Jill), Kevin (Robin), and Jennifer, as well as many more extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind a significant other, Victor “Pap” Jones. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Matt and Eulalie Turk; her paternal grandparents, Harvey, Sr. and Willie Russell; her uncles, Harvey Russell, Jr. and James “Jimmy” Turk; and cousin, Garrett Turk. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, March 2, 2020 at Roselawn Memorial Park. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2020 (time TBD) at Risen Church in Denton, Texas.
