Elouie Staggs May 23, 1989 – February 23, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Elouie Staggs, 80, a resident of Hornbeak, died Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday at White & Mahon Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Hornbeak. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home. Mr. Staggs was born on May 23, 1939, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, son of the late Eunice and Ida (Mitchell) Staggs. He married the former Penny Shiarla November 6, 1982. She survives. He worked as a truck driver for Ervin Feed and Grain in Cloverdale. Mr. Staggs is also survived by seven daughters; Linda Ann Bing, Martha Jean “Tootie” Tucker, Deanna Staggs, Jennifer Staggs, Luanna Staggs, Lynette Roach and Lisa Hammond; one son, Lou Ray Staggs; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jerldene Thompson, Ilean Murray, and Hazel Thompson; and a brother, Clyde Staggs. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Walden, and Daisey “Kate” Fletcher.
