Obituary Edgar Ray Conatser, age 74, of Deadwood, TX formerly of Jamestown, passed away January 27, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. Burial of ashes will follow at the Fentress Memorial Gardens with Military Services at graveside provided by the American Legion Post 137. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jennings Funeral Homes of Jamestown. Edgar was born November 14, 1945 in Nashville, TN. Edgar was a retired United States Army Master Sergeant. He was very involved in his church in Carthage, Texas. Additionally, he participated in mission work in Nicaragua and in prison ministries in Texas and Louisiana. He enjoyed fishing and travel. He will be remembered by those that knew him best for his kindness and generosity. He is survived by his: Second wife, Mary Kathryn Conatser of Deadwood, Texas Sons, Edgar Ray Conatser, Jr. James Conatser and wife Shannon Brothers, Earl Conatser Guy Conatser Warren Conatser Stepson, Jeffery Bauman Stepdaughter, Tessa Bauman Villermarette Granddaughters, Ashley and Katie Conatser and Kate Villermarette Grandsons, Jeffery Corley, Christopher and Phillip Villermarette He is preceded in death by his: Parents, Oakley and Wilma Conatser First wife, Jo Nell Conatser Jennings Funeral Homes of Jamestown in charge of services for Edgar Ray Conatser of Deadwood, TX formerly of Jamestown.
