Obituary Douglas D. Gibson, 57, died Thursday evening, February 6, 2020, in his residence. He was born in Marion on June 24, 1962, the son of the late Robert Dean and Betty May (Buteau) Gibson. Doug was a 1980 graduate of Eastbrook High School. He was employed with Bahr Brothers, Marion and was a construction worker. Doug enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his family, especially his dog and nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed plants and candles. Survivors include his mother: Betty May Gibson, Upland; a sister: Dawn Monahan, Montpelier; and a brother: Daniel Dewayne Gibson, Hartford City. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: David Dean Gibson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 259 N.
