Hanicke, Doug L., of Dittmer, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Aldrich and Alice (nee Pheiffer) Hanicke and entered into rest, Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 5 days. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Barb Hanicke (nee Maxwell) of Dittmer, Missouri. One (1) step-daughter, Cathy (James) Jacquard, Two (2) grandchildren, Tyler Trautman and Christine Webb, Three (3) great grandchildren, Wyatt Webb, Logan Keil and Caleb Keil, One (1) sister, Jan Reynolds of Greensboro, North Carolina, and many other family and friends. Doug was a machinist, inventor and a craftsman in his own trade. Doug and his wife own and operate EFT Services, a local tool and die company. His pets held a special place in his heart. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Service Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, Missouri.
