Obituary Dorothy “Dolly” Ann Hornke, was born in Cleveland,Ohio. She lived in Vista,California since November 1980. Her parents were John Hrasch and Marie Sikula. Sisters Francis, Marian, brother John. Husband William L. Hornke. She is survived by sons William and John (Beth, deceased). Grandchildren Catherine, Patricia, William, John. Great grandson William. Dorothy was known by her sisters as “Doll” and her husband Bill as “Dolly.” She was the first member of the Hrasch family to be born in a hospital, and now known as the oldest Hrasch or Hornke to ever live. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1943. She met her husband William in 1945, and they married in 1948. She worked for the Ohio Bell Phone Company until 1950. From 1951 on, Dorothy enjoyed life as a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, tole painting in her later years, she was as avid baseball fan, and loved camping by the water. She enjoyed watching live theater in the playhouse district in Ohio. Dorothy was a devout Christian and member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Cleveland in the 1940s-80s, and a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Vista from the 1980s to present.
