Obituary Donzaleigh Ophelia Barbee, 49, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2020. She was born in Alamance County on July 17, 1970 to Ivory and Janice Barbee. Donzaleigh was a member of Children’s Chapel Church, the Eastern Stars, and a sister of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. One of her greatest passions was working with children. Survivors other than her parents include a son, Ignacio Barbee; granddaughter, Kennedy Dawn Barbee; brother, Derrick Barbee and wife Charlene; two nieces, one nephew, two aunts, two uncles and a host of cousins, friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ophelia Baynes and paternal grandmother, Lucille Barbee. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Keisha Bluford, scriptures by Sharon Stanfield, and remarks by Cleopatra Wingard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:45 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at her home.
