Born on December 26, 1951 in Concord, NC to the late Ray Von and Sarah Louis Miller. Donald was educated In Concord, NC public school systems. He was an outstanding football athlete earning many awards and accolades, graduating from Concord High School. He attended and played football for NC A&T, graduating with a degree in accounting and economics. After college Donald Ray moved to Washington, DC working for many different banks and accounting firms. In 1984, Donald was the senior accountant for Jessie Jackson’s campaign for the president of the United States. While working as a contractor and assigned to the DC government department of housing he met his future wife. Donald Ray & Denise Rae were married June 27, 1987 in a religious ceremony in New Haven, Ct. In 1988, Donald finally got his dream job, working for the Washington, DC government. Donald worked for several agencies with the last one being Metropolitan Police Department serving as a internal auditor until illness forced him to retire. Another wish of Donald’s was to become a free and accepted mason. He joined Prince Hall Grand Lodge #12, Washington, DC in 1997. Preceding Donald in death are grandparents: Wilson Sr. and Edna MIller, Lewis L. and Erma Faye White, Aunt Ruth Phifer and Uncles Wilson Miller Jr. and Robert Mathis. Saddened by his departure and left to cherish his memories are his wife: Denise MIller, Daughter: Taimeisha (MiMi), two brothers Laffette Jordan (Deborah), and Beamie Anderson, Aunts: Edna V. Miller of Baltimore, Margaret Mathis and Victoria Cagler of Concord, NC. Uncles: Coy Miller (Nellie) of Charlotte, NC., David Miller(Arah) of Concord, NC., Howard Phifer of Charlotte, NC., Mother in law: Bessie Spann of New Haven, CT., Sister in law: Adrienne Lancaster(Larry) of Norwalk, CT., Godchildren Marsquale Patrick, Razon Patrick, Jalen Patrick and Auntsie Mason of Washington, DC., hosts of nephews, nieces, great nephew, cousins, Concord High School Class of 1970 and host of friends in both North Carolina, and Metropolitan, DC area.
