Obituary Dolores “Dolly” Ann Hicks (Gutierrez) was born July 24th, 1946 in Midland, Pennsylvania died February 15th, 2020 following an extended illness. Dolly was born sixth of ten children to Pittsburgh steelworker Antonio Joseph Gutierrez and Esperanza Maria Caulderon in Midland, Pennsylvania. She graduated from High School at the top of her class and served in convent to take her vows before she met her husband Alfred Hicks. Dolly’s travels with her husband included Korea, China, England, Taiwan, India and her favorite, Italy. Dolly was an incredible mother of four and operator of businesses for 51 years. She was devoted to God, her children and their lives and to her business. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Al, five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three sisters, Marie Antoinette “Tonya” Waite, Falls Church, VA, Anita “Nita” Bedekovich, Monaca, PA, Helen Gurtierrez, Ocala, FL, and Rosemarie “Button” Betters, Aliquippa, PA. She is survived by her children Robbie Ann Hicks (Smith), and husband Todd D Smith, Tirzah “Tracy” Marie Warner, and husband Chad D. Warner, and Rachel Leah Hicks (Burke) and husband Shawn Burke, and Joshua Elisha Hicks. Dolly’s nine grandchildren survive Audreyanna Marie Warner, Angelina “Nina” Warner, David Elisha Warner, Robert Eluterio “Tayo” Warner, Jackson Elisha Hicks, Olive Elizah Hocter, Bryce Michael Burke, Bruce Terah Burke, and Brody August Burke. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Father Mike Paraniuck as celebrant. Following the Mass, Dolores will be laid to rest next to her husband, Al, in Brown’s Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg.
