Delbert died Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born October 20, 1940 in Clovis, New Mexico to Otto and Alma (Hintz) Lingnau. He married Myrna Rudd in Lariat, Texas on October 24, 1964. Delbert was a farmer and loved to travel. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed attending all of his grandkids activities. Delbert was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Melvin Lingnau and his sister, Carolyn Lingnau. Delbert is survived by his wife, Myrna; his two sons, Todd Lingnau of Farwell, Texas and Kirk Lingnau and his wife, Teresa of Farwell, Texas; his three daughters, Rhonda Crozier of Farwell, Texas, Sharla Smith and her husband, Vince of Farwell, Texas and Melanie Hendrickson and her husband, Tim of St. Cloud, Florida; his sister, Evelyn Martin of Clovis, New Mexico; his brother, Edwin Lingnau of Clovis, New Mexico; his 7 grandchildren, Kaysha Carthel, Kaylee Crozier, Trey Crozier, Garen Hendrickson, Alea Hendrickson, Jaelyn Smith and Ty Smith; and 1 great-grandson to be born, Crew “Baby Hot Rod” Carthel.
