Obituary David Reeves-Brown (born David Michael Brown) was an amazing and deeply beloved man who packed several complicated lifetimes into one. As a child in Biloxi, Mississippi, he one-upped running away by burning down a school (it was an accident. Mostly.) He was sent to the famous Boys Town in Nebraska, where he gained important skills, close friends, and a lifelong distrust of snow. He joined the Air Force and survived working on a bombing range at the end of the Vietnam era only to have a couple of refrigerator-sized military computers fall on him and break his back. After pestering the doctors until he found one who could cobble him back together, he kicked butt in the band Kix, which played large venues around the South, including opening for the Eagles. He also became a hotel crisis manager, swooping in to solve problems large and small throughout a hotel chain. Although his spinal-cord issues continued to worsen, he managed to work hard for another decade as a computer network administrator, climbing out of his wheelchair to get at wiring under desks. When he could no longer work, he stayed active as long as possible playing and teaching music, fishing, shooting black powder rifles, doing computer projects, and wearing crazy Halloween costumes that incorporated his wheelchair. David was married three times; the first produced a beautiful daughter, Lisa, and the second marriage, wonderful sons David Jr. and Bob. A third marriage might have seemed like a bad idea, but despite an age gap and his laundry list of health problems, he and Jessamyn celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this last summer. He was very devoted to her and incredibly proud of his whole family, delighting in his grandchildren. David is survived by wife Jessamyn; daughter Lisa, her husband Everett Lowery, and grandchildren Alexandra and Brayden; son David, his wife TamberRae, and grandchildren Dayla and Daxton; son Bob and his fiancee Emilie Roman; and siblings Donna, Dan, and Dianne.
