Obituary David Thomas, 62 of Burnsville, passed away Friday January 31, 2020 at Care Partners Solace in Asheville. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of Camilee Styles Thomas Bennett and the late D.Z. Thomas. David was a talented musician, with the ability to play any stringed instrument. He enjoyed his Harley either riding or cleaning it. David was very family oriented and loved making everyone around him laugh. Surviving are his mother, Camilee Thomas Bennett and husband Johnnie of Burnsville. His daughter Cheryl Silvers and husband Joel of Burnsville. Granddaughter, Bailee Silvers. Brother Dennis Thomas and wife Sabrina of Boone. Sister Becky Lollar and husband Rex of Barnardsville. A neice, Jorden English and husband Justin and nephew Hunter Thomas. A very special friend Donna, and too many friends to list. A celebration of life will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday February 4 in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Edwin Fortner and Rev. Joey Willis will officiate. Burial will be in the Pete Young Cemetery. The family will recieve friends one hour prior to the services.
