David B. Gaetano Sr., age 70, died on Monday, September 23, 2019, at his home following an extended illness. Born in East Liverpool on January 29, 1949, David was the son of Dorothy (Fishback) Patterson of Wellsville and the late John Victor Gaetano and lived most of his life in in this area. He was employed as a Food Service Manager for A.V.I. Food Systems, last working in 2005. David was a graduate of Wellsville High School, class of 1967, and attended the Jefferson Technical School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5647. In addition to his mother, David is also survived by his wife: Sondra (Flannigan) Gaetano whom he married on November 15, 1969; two sons: David B. Gaetano Jr. and his wife Tracie of Marysville, Ohio and Jason V. Gaetano of East Liverpool; two grandchildren: Sierra Gaetano and Dominic Gaetano and two sisters. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters in law, Sherry and Cindy and his brother in law Gary. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother and father in law Edith and Bill Flannigan. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
