David A. Witt, 65, passed away, Friday, February 7, 2020. Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob “Bubba” Witt, Jimmie Witt, Troy Witt, Ryan Witt, Rick Andersen, and Brandon McCary. Visitation will be from 10:00am to the service time Saturday at the funeral home. David Alan Witt was born on October 1, 1954, to Helen (Petersen) Witt and Louis “Oogie” Witt in Clinton, Iowa. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He worked at Sethness Products for 30+ years, and while working, he earned his Associate’s degree from Clinton Community College. Dave was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears and White Sox. He became a fan of the Vegas Golden Knights after moving to North Las Vegas. He was a F.O.E member. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends. He coached his son Evan in football, basketball, and baseball. He was a great teacher of the games and was quick to jump in and share his expertise and coaching experience whenever it was needed. Dave had a great personality, was very quick-witted and full of knowledge about a bit of everything. His laugh was loud and unmistakable. David was able to strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere about anything. He had the gift of gab. David leaves behind his wife Deborah Cummings-Witt, son Evan (Hope) Witt, step-daughters Bobbi Jo (Bennie) Brown, Stacy (Lucien) Gagnon, Kristin (Mykal) Proto, step-son Kevin Owens; grandchildren Dean Witt & Eden Witt; and step-grandchildren: Brandon (Lexes) McCary, Timothy “Mike” Turner, Victoria (El Medhi) Sekkat, Aaron (AJ) Sanchez and Lily Metz. Great Grandchild Hunter Sekkat, niece Heidi Witt, nephews Ryan (Abby) Witt, Troy (Lyndsey) Witt, and Michael Witt, and many cousins. Dave was preceded in death by his mother Helen, father Louis “Oogie” and brother Sgt. Charles “Chuck” Witt”. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of David A.
