Obituary of Daniel R. Savino a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many passed away at home on February 10, 2020 at the age of 92. He is survived by his wife JoAnn, sons, Daniel Timothy Savino and Jeffrey Savino, stepchildren, Michael Malone, Susan (Brian) McCabe, Carolyn Malone (Tim McCabe), Jennifer (Joe) Robinson, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and Martha his trusty companion. Also survived by brothers, Tom (Joyce) Savino and Tony (Carol) Savino and many nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by brother Michael Savino, sisters, Angeline Cohen, Josephine Savino and Clara Savino. Dan served in the Army in WWII as a Cryptographic Repairman and Army Security. He retired from Evans Roofing Company. Dan was an avid outdoorsman- you could find him at the golf course, hunting or fishing. He never met an animal he didn’t like to eat. He also enjoyed cooking and could often be found baking his pies. Dan also enjoyed swinging JoAnn around the dance floor with the Polka Gliders dance group. As an American Legion and Catholic War Vets member, he played many a card game with his friends at both clubs. The family wishes to thank CareFirst for their care and compassion. Thank you also to his many friends who visited Dan at home prior to his death. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
