Curtis W. Brown, 102, of Magnolia, AR passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at his residence in Magnolia. Curtis was born November 30, 1917 in Three Creeks, AR. He served in the United States Army from 1941-45 in World War II during the Normandy Invasion and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was an electrician and retired from AP&L. He was a longtime member of the Central Baptist Church and was a Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents John Wallace and Nellie Jane (Graves) Brown; wife Nina F. Brown of 76 years; son Wayne Brown; four brothers and one sister. Curtis is survived by his daughter Janice G. Wilson and husband Drew of Hope and son Gary L. Brown and wife Beck of Stonewall, LA; grandchildren Brian S. Wilson and wife Mandi of Conway, Amanda G. Banks and husband Brandon of Lee’s summit, MO, Heather A. Brown of Austin, TX, Duston K. Brown of Tampa, FL, Jeffrey W. Jenney and wife Lisa of Puyallup, WA; eight great grandchildren; and very special family members Connie and Claude Owen. Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Mike Seabaugh officiating. The family requests memorial donations are made to Central Baptist Church, 207 West Union, Magnolia, AR 71753.
