Curtis Eugene Green passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, January 30th at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, GA following a brief illness. He was born April 23, 1941 in Bremen, Georgia, son of the late Ruth Carroll Green and Ralph Green. Mr. Green was a Navy Veteran serving two terms. He was a City of Marietta Fireman and EMT for 29 years and a carpenter. His retirement didn’t last long, and he went back to work at Bremen City School System working in the maintenance department. After his second retirement he loved to work on his farm and enjoyed working in his large garden and raising and trading goats and cows. He enjoyed reading all types of books, especially mystery novels. He loved to travel and enjoyed hunting, especially bird hunting, and fishing. He loved his wife’s cooking and his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Beatrice Green; his daughter Kim (Richy) Malone of Bremen, GA; his son Mike (Gwen) Green of Buchanan, GA; his daughter Lori (Doug) Watkins of Waco, GA. He had seven grand-children; Brandon Smith, Taylor Vazquez, Lauryn Green, Nathaniel Waits, Matthew Malone, Ethan Waits and Kristen Green; and two great-grandchildren, Brody and Hadley Smith.
