Cristopher Michael ‘Cris’ Leonard Sr. Oct. 10, 1971 – Feb. 6, 2020 Cristopher Michael “Cris” Leonard Sr., 48, Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Kenneth E. Sr. and Jane D. (Ecker) Leonard. On Aug. 17, 2000, he married Margaret M. “Maggie” Adams. Surviving are his wife; two sons; Cristopher M. Jr. and Jacob T. Leonard (Anna); a grandson, Ambrose; three brothers: Kenneth E. Jr. (Anne), James G. Leonard (Cathy) and Travis S. Myers (Michele); a sister, Darlene J. Smith (Gary); many nieces, nephews; and his loving companion, his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by a sister, Monica Leonard. Cris was a 1989 graduate of Altoona Area High School and he was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams. He loved spending time outdoors and listening to music, especially, Pearl Jam.
