Obituary Cody Earl Kendall, age 46, of Vernal passed away February 12, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1973 in Ogden, Utah. A son of Darris Levi and Sherry Jean Timothy Kendall. Cody was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, hike and look for rocks. He had a long battle from a major stroke that he tried so hard to overcome. He never lost his love for life with his family and friends. He loved to cook and cooked a lot of BBQ’s. He worked in the oilfield for most of is life from rigs to welding. He ran a roustabout crew that he really enjoyed working with. He is survived by his parent’s siblings: Troy (Michelle) Kendall; Misty (Robbie) Eastin; Trisha Kendall; 2 boys Austin and Dustin; 1 grandchild; his girlfriend Trisha Cruz; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was also a step dad to Devin, Bailey, Courtney and Alex, which he loved dearly. These kids loved him and called him pap bear. He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Naples 1stWard Chapel. Viewings will be Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary, And at the Church from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services, Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Under the care and direction of the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary & Cremation Care. We tank Dr. Shurtliff, his nurses and staff. Canyon Home Health Care his nurse Amanda and the staff that help with him. The University of Utah Medical Center for the four plus months that they helped with his care.
