Charles’ Obituary Age 86. Died peacefully at Beaumont Hospital (Dearborn campus) on Thursday evening, February 13, 2020. Charles is the beloved husband of the late Patricia (d.2002); loving father of Terry (Jerry) Ruble of Belleville; dear grandfather of Erin Turner of Sterling Heights, Kelly Turner of Dearborn Heights and Chase Stewart of Texas. Mr. Stewart is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jasmine Gorski and Willow Ward and many loving extended family and friends. Born on September 12, 1933 to Daniel Boone Stewart and Tennie Phillips, Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. Retiring after many years as a union representative with International Union of United Automotive Workers, Charles lived in Florida until 2002 moving back to his birth state of Tennessee following the death of Patricia. In his spare time, he enjoyed being handy around the home and also spending time with his family. Visiting hours have been arranged for Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 12 noon until 5 PM at the David C. Brown Funeral home of Belleville. Following local visiting hours, Charles has been arranged for careful transportation to the Hooper-Huddleston-Horner Funeral Home of Baxter, Tennessee, where final funeral rites will be preformed. The day and time of the service are pending and will be arranged in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
