Obituary Mr. Charles Clayton “Charlie” Coats, 63 of Covington, passed away on February 12, 2020. Mr. Coats is survived by his wife, Debra Rodgers Coats of Covington; his son, Shawn Turner (Vicky) of Covington; his siblings, Janet Cross (Russell), Belinda Park (David), Lisa Jones (Wade), Sherry Goodroe, Alex Burns (Terri), Charles M. Coats, Jr. (Joanne), and Wayne Coats; by his mother, Glenda Faye Hartsfield Burns; and by his five grandchildren, Michael Fulmer, Christian Turner, Amber Turner, Jared Harper, and Tara Wilbourn. Mr. Coats was preceded in death by his father, Charles Monroe Coats, Sr; and by his sister, Alma Noland. Funeral services for Mr. Coats will be held on Friday, February 14, at 1:30 PM at the Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Visitation will take place from 11:30 – 1:30 prior to the services beginning.
