Charles A. Vaught III, 47, passed away at 2:00 pm on February 17, 2020. Charlie was born on February 3, 1973 in Evansville the son of Charles A., Jr. and Mary Beth (Notter) Vaught. Charlie was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, a 1991 graduate of Washington High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Evansville where he was a member of the swim team. Charlie enjoyed swimming, fishing, bicycling, kayaking, karate, and going to the YMCA. Survivors include his mother and father, Mary Beth and Charlie Vaught of Washington; brother, Todd Vaught of Indianapolis; sisters, Amanda Crismore and her husband Jared of Martinsville, IN, Emily Vaught of Chicago, IL; grandmother, Laquita Notter of Evansville and his nephews, Clay and Zachary Crismore. Charlie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles A. and Irene Vaught; his maternal grandparents Dr. Richard and Elnora Notter and his sister, Jessica Vaught. Friends may visit with Charlie’s family from 5-8 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers-Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN and from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN with Rev. Paul Ferguson and Yvonne Evans celebrating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Daviess County Family YMCA, 405 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN 47501. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Vaught family.
