CAROL’s Obituary Carol Joan Geske, 77 years old; longtime resident of Antioch, IL, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at Advocate Condell Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late John and Myrtle (nèe Franz) Halas. On September 29, 1962, Carol married Robert Charles Geske in Chicago before moving to Antioch 53 years ago. Carol was a very active parishioner of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Old Mill Creek, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a self-taught artist and loved pastel drawing. She was a lover of cats and an avid bowler, even winning the Senior Bowler of the Year 2018-2019 as part of the Lake County Bowling Association. Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Bob; their two daughters, Susan (Ken) Ratajczyk, and Robin (Steve) George; their grandson, Randy Ratajczyk; her sisters, Susan (Frank) Galassini, Kathy (Tom) Iglehart; her nieces and nephew, Tracy (Anthony) Cesario, Tony (Michelle) Galassini; Katie (Rob) Adams; her great-niece, Alex Galassini and great-nephew, Trent Adams; and many cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Daniel Dreyer. Funeral Services will commence at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 from Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St., Antioch, IL 60002 to St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 40000 N. US Route 45, Old Mill Creek, IL 60046. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Strang Funeral Home.
