Carlon “Joyce”‘s Obituary Carlon “Joyce” Monroe, 60, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Integrity of Wood River. She was born June 27, 1959 in Steele, MO. Joyce attended Dayspring Foursquare Church in South Roxana. She enjoyed coloring, crafting, gardening and swimming. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Thornton of Granite City; mother, Naomi (Dickerson) Blackburn of Wood River; five grandchildren, Peyton Maddox, Nevaeh Guidry, Khloe Enis, Bailey Dole and McKenzie Bull; brother, Hubert “Butch” (Christie) Monroe and three sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Antonacci; Vanda Talkington and Teresa (Ricci) Hood. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Monroe and daughter, Sara Monroe. Read More
