Carl’s Obituary Carl Allen Vancil, age 69, of Qulin, MO, died Monday, February 10, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Vancil was born November 15, 1950 in Poplar Bluff, MO, son of the late Homer and Clara Vancil. He was a 1968 graduate of Qulin High school and played basketball all four years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Qulin American Legion Post 494. He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time at the deer camp. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and drag racing and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by three sons: Brandon Vancil and wife Corey of Qulin, Logan Vancil and wife Jennifer of Poplar Bluff and Colton Vancil of Broseley; one daughter: Carlee Decker and husband Brandon of Qulin; five grandchildren: Emma, Ella, Luke, Jude and Harper all of Qulin. He was also preceded in death by one sister: Elaine Engelhardt and one brother: Kenneth Vancil. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. A graveside memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with military honors at the Qulin Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow at the Qulin American Legion.
