Mrs. Beulah Mae Shipman Mebane September 11, 1931 – February 10, 2020 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation BURLINGTON-Mrs. Beulah Mae Shipman Mebane, 88, of 2848 Otter Creek Trail, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at Presbyterian Home of Hawfield. A native of Cumberland County, she was the daughter of Albert Shipman and Gertrude Nance Shipman, both deceased and the wife of Robert Odell Mebane, also deceased. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Mebane was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Mebane and DeWitt Mebane; a daughter, Kaye Frances Mebane; four brothers, Dillard, Julius, Thomas, and Frazier Shipman; and two sisters, Agnes McFadden and Lizzie Shipman. Her survivors include two daughters, Eloisa Key and Gwenevere Miles (Ricky), both of Georgia; one brother, Richard Shipman; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A graveside service will be held at North Lawn Cemetery for Mrs. Mebane on Friday, February 14, 2020, at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Harvey L. Bigelow officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to her graveside service. Alamance Funeral Service of Burlington has the honor of serving the Mebane Family.
