Betty Sue Dudney Sutton, age 82, of Orlinda passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020 at her home. She was born October 12, 1937 in Gainesboro, TN to Clay and Pearl Spurlock Dudney. She was a loving, Christian lady who loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking for them and caring for them. In her younger years, she drove a school bus for Sumner and Robertson County schools and then was employed by RR Donnelly & Sons Printing Company in Gallatin. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Orlinda Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David Hyder; granddaughter, Rommie Hyder; daughter-in-law, Gwen Hyder. She is survived by daughters, Sherry (Mark) Paone, Charlotte, TN, Lisa (Daniel) Ferguson, Orlinda, TN and Dawn (George) Davis, Greenbrier, TN; sons, Darell Hyder, Mansfield, OH and Tony (Laude) Hyder, Simi-Valley, CA; sisters, Thelma (Don) Moore, Ellen (Johnny) Kemper, both of Goodlettsville, TN and Kathy (Jim) Schmidt Hendersonville, TN; 13 grandchildren, Brandon (Danielle) Horn, Amber (Ryan) Abbott, Cam (Amanda) Hyder, Jody Hyder, April (Jeremy) Irwin, Corey Ferguson (Andrea), Haley Hyder, Kristina (David) Collier, Joel Davis (Megan), Melanie (Brent) Schiefer, Megan (Jordan) Moore, Nick Davis and Christopher Weemhoff; 9 great-grandchildren, Paige, Jacob, Georgia, Kaley, Travis, Cameron, Gavin, Wren and Skyler. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 1pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Terry McCormick officiating. Interment will follow in Old Beech Church Cemetery 3216 Long Hollow Pike Goodlettsville, TN 37072 with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Tuesday, February 11, 2020 4-8pm and Wednesday, February 12, 2020 10am-1pm at the funeral home.
