Betty Grubbs, 83, passed away on February 26, 2020 at her home in Byram, MS. A graveside service will be held at Mendenhall Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Mrs. Grubbs was born to Charles Brown and Hazel Sims on June, 24, 1936 in Jackson, MS. She became a resident of Byram in 1976 after spending all of her life in Jackson and was employed as a registered nurse at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family and working in her yard. She loved animals and rescued dogs in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Grubbs. She is survived by her son, Lee (Holly) Grubbs of Brandon; daughters, Beverly Bowers of Clinton and Joyce Williams of Mendenhall; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
