Obituary Bernard Max Baldwin “Bernie”, 88, of Van Wert, passed away at 9:57 PM on February 06, 2020 at Van Wert Manor. He was born on December 19, 1931, in Van Wert, to the late Eldon Max Baldwin and the late Zelma Elizabeth (Stemen) Baldwin. On September 18, 1981, Bernie married the love of his life, Sandra Lee who survives. Together, they shared many years of memories. Bernie retired as as Truck Driver for Tecumseh Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and watching the Cowboy Channel. He also had a passion for horses and loved carpentry work. He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Van Wert; children: Cynthia Baldwin-Wallace, Barry Baldwin, Scott Baldwin, all of Van Wert; Todd (Buffy) Baldwin of Findlay; Troy Baldwin of Van Wert; Kevin Baldwin of CA; stepchildren: Cerina (Phil) Burke of Coldwater; David (Kim) Butler of Scott; Shellie Butler of Van Wert; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his son, Brent Baldwin and sister, Joan Lindeman. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2020 at First United Brethren Church in Christ, 501 S. Race St, Van Wert, OH, with Pastor Jody Harr, officiating.
