Mr. Bennett C. Harmon, 85, of Cortland passed away February 13, 2020 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. Born November 3, 1934 in Mineola, NY, Bennett was the son of the late J. Kenneth and Anna Popowitch Harmon, and was area resident most of his life. Bennett faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was formally employed as an accountant with Leaseway Transportation in Syracuse. Bennett was a life member of the DAV and American Legion. He was also a member of the Harford, Virgil, and Dryden Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife of 64; years Nancy DeLong Harmon, a son Terry Harmon of Arkansas, daughters Debra (John) Butler of Cortland and Donna (Anthony) Ferro of Arkansas and 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY in the spring. Arrangements are under the direction of Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland, NY.
