Annie “Pauline” Taylor Stokes October 09, 1927 – February 27, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Annie “Pauline” Taylor Stokes, a resident of Summit, MS passed away February 27, 2020 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2020 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 1 PM until services at 2 PM. Rev. John Underwood and Rev. Diane Woodall will officiate and burial will be held in Hollywood Cemetery. Pauline was born October 9, 1927 in Simpson County, MS to Walter B. Taylor and Amanda Mullins Taylor. Mrs. Stokes was an active member of Pisgah United Methodist Church for sixty-nine years. She worked many years at the Kellwood Outlet Store, was a retired state civil service worker, and served as a Pink Lady volunteer at SWMRMC. Mrs. Stokes loved her family and her Pisgah church family. She was well known for visiting shut ins and for her volunteer work at the church. Travelling, game playing, and camping were several of her favorite past times. Preceding Mrs. Stokes in death are her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Mrs. Stokes is survived by her husband of seventy years, Lamar Stokes, Jr.; her daughters, Phillis (Jeff) Waller and Dixie (Trey) Fouche; four grandsons, Jeremy (Daniela) Waller, Jared (Jodi) Waller, Will (Melissa) Kimmel, and Stephen Kimmel and fiancé Patricia Spring; four great-grandchildren, Bracey Lynn Waller, Bennett Waller, Maisie Kimmel, and Natalie Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as close friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Pisgah United Methodist Church memorial fund or to a charity of your choice.
