Anna C. Wuertz, 89, of Marysville, passed away early Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Memorial Gables. She was employed with the OM Scotts Company for over 20 years and then moved to California in 1969 where she served as the office manager and bookkeeper with Forma Design & Typesetting in Los Angeles. She returned to Marysville in 2003. She was a member of the Echo Park United Methodist Church in L.A. and was active with the Sunday school program and served as a visitation layperson within the women’s group. She was proud of her affiliation with the Women’s Business Group and enjoyed gardening, traveling, photography, and her collection of salt-n-pepper shakers. Born August 25, 1930 in Marysville, Anna was the daughter of the late Jacob P. and Bertha (Gase) Wuertz. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, LeeRoy, Edward, Victor and Robert Wuertz; four sisters, Clara Pauline Bell, Ruth Bywater, Bertha Thompson and Elsie Wuertz. Anna is survived by a sister, Mary Beekman of Centerburg; a sister-in-law, Virginia Wuertz of Delaware; numerous nieces and nephews and especially her family of caregivers from the Gables. Friends may call Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. A graveside service will follow at the Union Township Cemetery in Milford Center at 11:30 A.M. with Kenny Nicol officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Loving Care Hospice of the charity of the donor’s choice.
