Obituary Fitchburg: Agnes M. Nason, 94 of Fitchburg, MA passed away peacefully in UMass Memorial Leominster Hospital Monday, February 3,2020 with her loving sister Helen and her nieces and nephews at her side. Agnes, “Aggie” was born on August 2, 1925 daughter of George and Helen (Dillon) Nason at home in Fitchburg. She was everyone’s favorite aunt. She lived in Fitchburg all of her life, and was a graduate of Fitchburg High School Class of 1943. She worked as a bookkeeper at the former Independent Lock Co. (ILCO) for most of her life. When the company closed, she went to work at Franco-American Credit Union. She completed her long working life at Leominster Hospital. Aggie, as she was known, made friends easily throughout her life. At ILCO she was part of “The Girls Club” , a group of women who would get together on a monthly basis to share all the joys and laughter in their lives over a half century. Ag loved to travel and was able to spend time with her sister Ann and her husband Bob traveling in motorhomes and spending many summers in Maine. She also enjoyed her winters in Siesta Keys, Florida with Ann later in her life. In 1968 she travelled to Ireland with her father and then later in her life she went to Hawaii on a Carribean cruise. She enjoyed every minute spending time with family and seeing different parts of the world. Ag loved to bake and make candy. She would make hundreds of chocolate lollipops for all of the holidays for all of her great nieces and nephews so they could bring them to school to share with their classmates. She also made zucchini relish which we called Ag’s Awesome Relish. Ag was the life of all of our family gatherings and lit up every room she entered. Everything Ag did was done with pure love that we will keep with us for the rest of our lives. Ag is survived by her sisters, Helen Dumont of Fitchburg and Dorothy Cringan of Tampa, Florida, her nieces and nephews, Debra Dumont of Fitchburg, Robert Dumont of Fitchburg, Timothy Dumont and his wife Gail of Ashburnham, Judy Dumont of Nahant, Sandy and her husband Scott of Tampa , Florida, Paul and his wife Sue of Gardner, Peter and his wife Belinda of Gardner, and Jeffrey and his wife Kim of Leominster.
