Obituary William M. Wright, age 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. He was born on August 28, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late Clifford and Mildred (Acre) Wright. Bill enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles and country music. He was very generous to the police and fire departments and enjoyed helping them. Survivors include his siblings, Donald Wright (Necy) and Ruth Gooch (Mike); girlfriend, Carol Ryan; granddaughter, Amber Imasuen; and three great-grandchildren, Tationna, Rayla and Chauncey. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Wright and Clifford “Bud” Wright; sister, Dorothy Simmons-Crenshaw; and long-time companion, Patricia Grubbs. Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services, 1458 S. Meridian St., with a service celebrating his life at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.lauckfuneralhome.com.
